Wedding Planning – The magic is in the details

It’s all in the details… how often do you hear that when planning your wedding (or any event for that matter)? You may wonder if, after you have put all the time, consideration and expense into all these tiny little details, will you even notice on the day? will anyone appreciate your efforts? And how much difference do they really make?

When it comes to putting together a memorable, unique and stylish event, the details can actually be what sets it apart from other events.

As Natalie from Wedding Upmarket exhibitor Bryan Was Here Furniture says, it is all of these little things that you have put the thought into that contribute to making the big picture magical for not only you as a couple but for your guests. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want their guests gushing over the details of their special day?

Natalie said that they have been fortunate to work with some amazing couples over the years and be a part of some truly memorable occasions.

“What makes a wedding stand out seems to have the following formula – a kick-ass couple, an awesome venue, to die for florals and crazy good Perth wedding suppliers bringing their A Game in lighting, styling… and of course awesome furniture by us!” Natalie said.

Keeping that magic formula in mind, Natalie’s main advice to couples in working on all the little details of their day is to do research.

“When booking your suppliers make sure you research their socials, their websites and their reviews. The suppliers you choose on your big day will impact your day negatively if chosen incorrectly, whereas quality products and reliable service will ensure you have one less thing to worry about on the day,” she said, “The cheaper option may not always be the best and might not save you in the long run.”

While all the little details really do matter in creating a special event, there is nothing more important than simply enjoying the moment. Once your wedding is planned, leave the details in the hands of your trusted suppliers and allow yourself to soak in the real magic of the day – your marriage.

“It’s so true that the day will go soo quickly,” Natalie said, “Make sure you take ten minutes as the newly married couple with no photographer and no bridal party just to reflect… It can all be a bit surreal but you won’t regret those ten minutes. It might be the only time you talk until the end of the day!”

If you are looking for some of the best local suppliers who you can rely on to take care of your details and create the magic for your wedding, don’t miss Wedding Upmarket on Saturday 5 May at UWA. Natalie will be there, along with 50 handpicked suppliers and designers.
